In addition to my campaign against TJ, I’d like to add my surprise that Clinton and Reagan do not appear on the “Favorite President’s List” in anything other than potential write-in capacity. People tend to like them a lot.

Good link/story. Believe, I’ve had the debate and agree for the most part about slave-owning founding fathers, etc. (you’d actually be surprised perhaps at the number of students I’ve had who a.) thought that all of the founding fathers were working to abolish slavery and b.) get confused about founding fathers/presidents – i.e. Ben Franklin was NOT a president).
The Clinton/Reagan thing was tough. I know that they were both obviously extremely well-liked, but Clinton shows up in the living president’s category, so I was torn as to whether to include him. With no real logic other than that, I ended up keeping both he and Reagan off. So yeah, now I have a favorite president’s poll without two extremely popular presidents as choices (my own indecision did me in maybe…). Maybe it would be better labeled as a more historical poll? I don’t know. Any way you slice it, it’s somehow flawed. haha.

The other problem with “other”/write in based on how this poll does it, is that I can’t figure out how to find out who people have been writing in. Not pleased about that.
