Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree…

07 Dec

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here on the home front.  At the beginning of the week, we decided to take a trip out to a local Christmas tree farm to pick out a tree.  It was a bizarre experience in that it happened to be nearly 70 degrees that particular day…wandering around looking through trees in that weather was a first for me.  This also happened to be Em’s first trip to a tree farm, ever – whoa!

Bundled up in the trunk.

Setting it up in the corner.

Adding the lights.

Adding the lights.

All decorated.

All decorated.

So there you have it, a lovely Christmas tree in the living room.  It really adds to the Christmas spirit and helpes to make it smell like Christmas in the house as well.  We also decorated the mantle, which adds to the holiday spirit:

And now, enjoy a little Christmas jingle from one of the best Christmas movies of all time, Ernest Saves Christmas.

Some people don’t celebrate Christmas… Happy Holiday’s Tree is more politically correct. You are always discriminating against the minorities. Also, you suck as fantasy commish.

Amen, Jeff! I love being Jewish because candles remind me of hookah!

Mike, some people don’t celebrate Christmas… It should be called Happy Holiday’s Tree in order to be politically correct. You are always discriminating against Minorities! Also, you suck as fantasy commish.

My tree is just about as secular as you can be. While I do have some Catholic roots, I hardly bill myself as religious. I like the greenery, lights, smells, and “festiveness” of the tree.

Yes, some people do not celebrate Christmas. But seeing as this tree is meant for private display/worship/celebration, I do not see any problem with it. I don’t think you are a very discriminatory person. I feel like I may be being slandered by another poster.

I am glad that “Da Real Jeff” was able to set the record straight for all to see since there appeared to be someone masquerading as “Jeff” trying to start wars on things.
