Gatorland

07 Jul

There are lots and lot of theme parks and touristy things to do in and around Orlando.  People come from all over for some of the big ones, but those aren’t the only ones around.

One that we had noticed while driving around on several occassions was Gatorland.  From the outside and the billboards, it did not look like an overly impressive place…at least not one of the first on my list that I wanted to visit.  But when I happened upon an opportunity to visit for free, I figured that we might as well give it a try.

Check out some pictures:

As it turned out, Gatorland was actually a really cool place to visit.  It was deceptively big, and it was more than just a couple of gators laying in aquariums or tanks.  There was a little show of gator feeding and one of gator wrestling.  There was also a little petting zoo and several other types of animals and reptiles as well.

Overall we had a great time!  I would highly recommend a trip, especially since the park is not nearly as expensive as many of the other parks around…you get a lot of bang for your buck!  Remember, if you ain’t gator huntin’, you’re gator bait!

I think gatorland looks lame. You two need to start going to some raves and then write a blog.
